No New Posts DORMS

the dorms are for new patients and those that the staff have evaluated to be unfit for more independent housing. they’re two to a room, segregated by gender into two separate buildings, and although the dorms are rather small and clinical, patients are allowed to dress them up with materials from home or bought from the island stores.

No New Posts APARTMENTS

these quaint little buildings are arranged on a central avenue sticking out from behind the main building. they each accommodate four patients with their own bedroom, as well as a small kitchen and living room. these aren’t rights, though; they’re privileges. patients have to have been at ashemont for a while to get one, and bad behavior gets you sent back to the dorms or worse.

you don’t want to be here. period. padded rooms, straightjackets, slot in the window, the whole nine yards. troublemakers or those who lose control of themselves are sent here to spend the night, and it’s one of the places that strikes home the fact that you are at a mental hospital. thank god it’s only temporary use, right...?
